APPLE TAKES 500,00 sq. ft

 

BIG COUP FOR MALAYSIAN OWNED BATTERSEA POWER STATION

The Malaysian owned (Sime Darby, SP Setia and the state Employees Provident Fund) Battersea power station regeneration site will now have Apple as one of its tenants, the US giant will lease 500,000 sq. ft beginning 2021, which will house 1,400 employees who currently occupy 8 offices around the UK capital.

Sadiq Khan, London’s Mayor, said ‘I am delighted that Apple is moving into Battersea Power Station, helping to regenerate new jobs and economic prosperity for Londoners. It is a further sign that London is open to the biggest brands in the world and the leading city for trade and investment’

Apple will occupy 6 floors in the original brick section of this iconic brownfield development and will make it one of its largest offices outside of the US. Apple will be the sites biggest single tenant taking around 40% of the available office space.
